Floral Crush – A Vibrant Styled Shoot

A vibrant fusion of color, flora, and fashion at Blithewold Mansion, Gardens & Arboretum.

Blithewold Mansion, Gardens & Arboretum became a playground for Sayles Livingston Design to showcase her floral craft. The vision was a modern garden filled with bright, almost neon blooms mellowed out with the clean lines of clear acrylic chairs and a wooden farm table for a touch of warmth.

A clean invitation suite alluded to the modern garden theme.

The fashion-forward styling of Beth Chapman Styling played off the grandeur of the mansion and the explosion of color.

The escort cards were weaved into a web of peonies, snapdragons, anenomes, and ranunculus for a fresh twist.

Sparkling rosé in crystal coups were the perfect signature cocktail for the modern garden theme.

Clear acrylic chairs juxtaposed with a wooden farm table created the perfect balance of modern and classic style.

Blackstone Caterers crafted a garden party menu filled with light, refreshing fare.

The four-tier cake emulated the floral web and the overall inspiration of the styled shoot flawlessly.

Vintage Floral Grandeur – BLISS Cover Shoot

A glorious day of flora and reverie at the historic Linden Place mansion in Bristol, RI.

This styled shoot was imagined as a graceful garden soiree with hints of whimsical details to keep the vibe lighthearted. Linden Place is a Federal-style mansion with architectural elegance that lends itself to a grandiose décor aesthetic. The magnificent archways that carry your from room to room are like portals to the past, each one telling a different story. The vision was to blur the lines between the past and the present with modern-glam décor and an explosion of lush flora. A spectrum of pink hues and creamy white kept the color palette clean, yet captivating. Every floral display designed by Sayles Livingston Design made a statement. “I wanted this to feel luxurious and abundant. We used a mix of hydrangea, roses, ranunculus, snapdragons, snowberry, and tulips to frame the grand entrance,” Sayles described. The floral trend was carried out through every detail from the fashion to the stationery – even the food!

A single black & white stripe panel balanced the femininity of the floral arrangements with a touch masculinity.

A fuchsia watercolor invitation suite, artfully designed The Paper Perfectionist, and custom-made floral welcome sign by Sayles Livingston Design set the tone.

The creative cuisine and fizzy cocktails crafted by Blackstone Caterers were inspired by the floral design.

The marble bar was modern nod to the beautiful flooring inside Linden Place.

The mix of bridesmaids’ gowns epitomized the luxe garden party vibe.

While the ombré bouquets complemented the rest of the fashion flawlessly.

Vintage-inspired floral arrangements set upon a modern mirrored table struck a balance between the past and the present.

Sculpted sugar-flowers cascaded down a three-tier cake, created by Konditor Meister.

A wire-frame heart covered in lush blooms added a dash of whimsy and excitement to the overall design.

Sky Blue, Celadon and White

Cool-toned pastels enhance the light & airy feel of an exquisitely restored barn in the majestic Catskill Mountains.

This styled shoot is the beautiful result of a multi-year family effort to restore The Sablewood at Highview Springs. The organic beauty of the barn was preserved, but the 50+ oversized windows that were added is what makes this event space truly unique. For the shoot, a palette of cool, dusty pastels were used to enhance the airiness of the sun-drenched barn. Exposed hand-hewn beams were softened by billowy cream chiffon. In-house farm tables were lined with a linear garland of chiffon and fresh greenery. Gilded candelabras added warmth to the table, complementing the massive 100 year-old chandelier that hangs above. Metal chairs and crystal place-settings completed the table décor with a modern twist. “This shoot was inspired by the barn itself and the launch of this luxurious new venue. Our goal was to create a timeless look with dusty neutrals that enhanced the raw beauty of the old post and beam structure,” Lisa Shaul of The Sablewood described.

Industrial Garden – A Styled Shoot

A styled shoot designed by Let’s Make Magic Events, showcasing the art of juxtaposition.

“We envisioned these two brides to be modern creatives who appreciate art, architecture, and avant-garde designs,” Evelyn from Let’s Make Magic Events described. Rows of coral parrot tulips and bright blue muscari hung upside like a floral curtain; a dramatic installation between two galleries that enlivened the industrial architecture of the art museum. Sunlight poured through the oversized windows of the event space casting an ethereal glow on the exposed bricks. A robin’s egg blue chiffon runner dotted with mini floral arrangements in crystal vases ran the length of the wooden table. Tall copper structures suspended poufs of verdant sweet huck and tulips above the table like a canopy. Cement-grey square plates and polished copper flatware completed the table décor with a modern take on industrial style. Like the décor, the bridal fashion focused on the allure of spring blooms too. One bride donned a floral belt, while the other wore a floral pin in her hair. Each accessory complemented their bouquets perfectly.
