Tropical Ambiance – Real Wedding

Caribbean island vibes are brought to The Wauwinet Inn creating a tropical ambiance on Nantucket Island for this romantic wedding by sea.

Justin proposed to Claire in Jamaica. Instead of bringing their guests to Jamaica, they decided to bring the Caribbean island vibes to Nantucket. With about 220 guests invited they were having a hard time finding a venue to accommodate, especially since they wanted an after-party on-site as well. The Wauwinet Inn came the rescue and the planning began. “I could not speak more highly of the team at The Wauwinet Inn – they made everything perfect that day, and leading up to it!” Claire raved. They decided on clean, tropical inspired décor with a touch of Ralph Lauren flair. The white trellis overlooking the ocean where the ceremony took place was adorned with bright white flowers and greens. Inside the tent, long wooden tables were lined with crystal vases that were bursting with fresh palm fronds. Small arrangements of white poppies surrounded by floating candles romanced the table. Delicious fare local to Nantucket prepared by The Wauwinet Inn was enjoyed by all.

Sweet Simplicity – Real Wedding

Sweet simplicity is defined by creamy white hues paired with fresh greenery and vintage inspired décor creating a timeless setting for a beautiful wedding by the sea.

After visiting many Newport, RI wedding venues, Kelsey and Tom decided they wanted to be married in a private place that could truly be called their own. They called on the talents of the team at Exquisite Events to help them plan and design their dream wedding. “Exquisite Events and their team were truly unbelievable. After my first meeting with them, I immediately knew that they were going to go above and beyond—and they definitely did,” Kelsey raved. A white tent from Newport Tent was constructed on the lawn of a private estate overlooking the ocean. Rich wooden floors, ivory chiffon draping, and twinkling chandeliers added a touch of formality to the tent without compromising the vintage ambiance Kelsey and Tom were trying to achieve. Fresh garlands of greenery and lush white flowers combined with vintage design elements such as rustic chairs and hammered gold flatware perfected the look and feel of the day.

Soft Pink & Sage Green – Color Theory

Soft pink blooms and rich greenery blend perfectly for this waterfront ceremony at Nonantum Resort.

It was that perfect time of year where autumn had arrived, but the colors and feel of summer hadn’t quite been washed away. Growing up only minutes away, Nonantum Resort had that ideal mix of atmosphere and nostalgia Hannah was looking for. “My favorite thing about Kennebunk is no matter the season you absolutely feel embraced by its quaint, but undeniably charming New England feel,” Hannah raved. Soft pink and champagne hued flowers filled the resort. Large stone urns were overflowing with greenery, swirly branches, and creamy white flowers. Each table’s centerpiece was slightly different from the next, from the flowers to the mercury glass vases that held them. The mixed matched trend continued with the bridesmaids in their pale pink dresses with varying necklines. The creamy white bouquets completed the look while complimenting the bride perfectly.

Pale Ocean & Champagne – Color Theory

The Boston Harbor Hotel offers unparalleled views of the harbor, coinciding perfectly with Laura’s longtime love of pale ocean and gray.

When developing her color story Laura wanted to keep it classic and enhance the beauty surrounding the Boston Harbor Hotel. Round tables in crisp white linen accompanied by white chiavari chairs filled the ballroom. Champagne hued arrangements with pops of pale blue flora brought color and dimension to the table design. 360 degree floor to ceiling windows allowed beautiful, natural light to flood the ballroom and make the guests feel as though they were dining outside. Every area of the Boston Harbor Hotel provides a breathtaking backdrop for photos from the rotunda to the iconic arch to the grand staircase beneath the dome skylight. The color story was maintained through all elements of the day including the wedding cake prepared by the hotel.
