Indigo, Gold & Cream – Color Theory

The regal elegance of the Glen Manor House inspired a dark and glamorous color palette exuding Gatsby Era allure.

Talia’s heart was always set on a dark, romantic wedding like that of a Gatsby party; filled with midnight blues and glittering gold accents. After meeting with Semia of Flowers by Semia her focus shifted a bit to incorporate more neutral hues like deep, earthy greens and warm whites. “Too much glitz could’ve come off tacky — my vendors did an amazing job at keeping everything balanced,” Talia recalled. Midnight navy linens were topped with tall gilded vases that were filled with creamy blooms on each round table. Under a canopy of twinkling lights a long navy table lush with a garland of greens created a magical outdoor dining experience for the bridal party. The cake, created by her dear mother Maureen of Something Different Cake Couture was like edible art; each layer a different texture and adorned with sugar anemones just like in Talia’s bouquet.

An Idyllic Autumn Wedding in Vermont

“We set out to create a joyful wedding filled with vibrant colors that fit seamlessly into the natural beauty of the early autumn Vermont setting. Jaclyn Watson Events put heart into the event & executed it expertly,” Katherine raved.

Katherine’s bouquet along with the rest of the floral design were inspired by the rich, colors of a classic 19th century European floral still life painting.

Glittering disco balls hovered above the farm tables adding a touch of whimsical glam to the barn setting, foreshadowing the disco dance party that would ensue.

An autumn rainbow of roses infused a splash of color into the neutral place setting.

Modern draping & twinkling lights strung by Drape Art Designs juxtaposed with wrought iron chandeliers & exposed wooden beams created the perfect balance in contrast.

Mini skewers for snacking while dancing!

Sugary-sweet simplicity gets dolled up with petals & blooms.

The perfect ending to the perfect day…

September Promise – Real Wedding

An intimate seaside wedding filled with personal details unique to Elyse and Jacob as a couple…

The natural beauty and simplicity inherent to Cape Cod inspired Elyse and Jacob to host a wedding that showcased their love through delicate flowers, vintage accents, and personal mementos. “Elegant Engagements was amazing at making the experience as stress free as possible and the amazing flowers and unique, vintage accents from Lilacs really helped set the stage,” Elyse raved.

Flickering candles sprinkled along the tables warmed the clean white table setting.

Under a beautiful arch of greenery they said “I do.”

Vintage fish decoys served as escort cards & favors.

A striking bouquet of all-white blossoms was the epitome of clean elegance.

Donning their floral crowns & sky blue sashes, the junior bridal party prepped the aisle for their bride.

September Promise, a candle from the bride’s new candle line with a label custom-designed by the groom was given to each guest as a favor.

Late Summer Wedding – Real Wedding

The Bohlin, from the breathtaking views to the iconic location in Newport, RI, was the ideal venue for Caryn and Brendon to host their wedding.

For Caryn and Brendon having a quintessential New England wedding did not mean nautical themed décor; it meant an outdoor reception complete with a raw bar and vast ocean views that were dotted with sailboats and the occasional ferry drifting by. A soft palette of dusty greens, blush, and gold combined with personal touches helped to achieve the romantic elegance they had envisioned.

A bouquet of soft white blooms designed by Sayles Livingston Design evoked effortless beauty.

Ready to set sail on the adventure of a lifetime together!

Twinkling lights, gold accents, and fresh flora in dusty hues romanced the tent.

A dear family friend custom designed all the paper, including the menu cards adding a personal touch to the day.

An abundance of greens peppered with blush blossoms loosely perched upon shallow gold vases created the easy elegance Caryn dreamed of.

The day was filled with endless laughter and love.
