Bridal Trend Report 2018

Bridal Fashion Week just wrapped up in New York City and we have your full bridal trend report as told by stylist Beth Chapman of The White Dress by the Shore. We will be unveiling the latest collection from our favorite designers over the next few weeks so be sure to check back!

Off-the-Shoulder Necklines

The fear with an off-the-shoulder gown is that brides will not be comfortable on their wedding day, however, I saw a lot of functional off the shoulders that still give you a lot of wiggle room!

Capes

Capes are a great way to add drama and length to any gown and make a great alternative if you are not a fan of the iconic veil!

Appliquéd and Embellished Lace

I saw appliquéd floral lace (with and without embellishment) on almost every runway.  Adore this feminine trend!

Halter Necklines

Meghan Markle had a huge influence on this market.  Her reception dress led to halter necklines on every runway!

Clean and Classic

Clean and simple also graced every runway.  The Duchess of Sussex had an influence on this trend as well – especially when it came to long sleeves!

Delicate Straps

The delicate spaghetti strap trend is so feminine and dainty!  I love that this has emerged as a popular neckline, as it is flattering on all body types!

Matching Veils

One of the hot accessories of the season was the matching veil.  It was especially prevalent with the lace and floral appliquéd gowns.
