A minimalist approach to color met a maximalist approach to botanical texture in the most awe-inspiring way for this verdant wedding.
The lush lawns, old stone walls, and majestic trees of Jane’s family’s private residence offered a picturesque backdrop that inspired her to blend the décor organically as if it were all part of the natural landscape. Leafy green branches were anchored to the wooden supports of the beautiful white cloth tent looking as if they had been growing there for years. Loosely arranged textural greens with pops of white blooms in vintage vessel sprinkled the vast tables below. Long banquet tables and family-style platters of food added an element of cozy to the mix. “We wanted the food to reflect late August in NE and the team at Capers Catering presented colorful, in-season dishes, from cocktail hour to heaping passed platters at the dinner table. They were able to source special foods that we had requested, including legs of Jamon Iberico, oysters from Duxbury, MA, and ice cream from a New Hampshire dairy farm,” Jane recalled.
