A quintessential New England summer wedding overlooking the harbor at The Bohlin in Newport, RI.
For most of Nicole and Kevin’s guests this was a destination wedding so they wanted it to feel like a vacation. “Newport has charm like no other city and The Bohlin was the perfect combination of great views and delicious food as provided by The Newport Restaurant Group. The Event Manager walked through everything with us from our menus to furniture and linen options, provided suggestions for other vendors, and always answered my questions quickly and gracefully,” Nicole explained. One of those suggestions was floral designer Sayles Livingston Design. The team created a breathtaking trellis made of driftwood and draped with beautiful summer blooms. In the majestic Sperry Tent where dinner was held, ivory draping created an airy ambience and resembled the flowing sails on the boats in the marina. Pale blue linens were contrasted with bright floral arrangements in pinks and yellows. Playing off the nautical nature of the venue, nautical ropes were used to tie the napkins and small globes filled with sand and shells adorned every table.
