Vendor Spotlight On: The White Dress By The Shore

This week’s Vendor Spotlight is on The White Dress By The Shore; a bridal boutique offering exceptional service and known for creating a truly unique experience.

1. How did your business come to be?

I opened the boutique out of a sincere desire to provide brides with an exceptional shopping experience.  The designers that I select are unique and generally classic.  They are all of one hand and taste level, as if they were all designed with one bride in mind.  Our target bride wants to be timeless, classic and unforgettable.  She is looking for a classic bride with a fashion twist.

2. What are the services you offer?

We offer chic couture for brides, mothers, and maids and alterations services for brides who purchase their gowns through us all in the quaint atmosphere of an antique home.

We also offer private shopping experiences:

White Carpet Appointment- This is a 3 hour appointment that takes place when he boutique is typically closed, so the bride and her guests have the space to themselves.  We offer champagne and  sweet or savory treats while the party shops and a photographer is on hand to capture every memory.

Bridesmaid Soiree- This 2 hours private appointment takes place in our bridesmaid atelier.  The Bride and her maid enjoy mimosas and cupcakes while they work with a stylist to put together the perfect collection of colors and silhouettes to compliment the bride’s gown.

Through our sister company, Beth Chapman Styling, we also offer day of wedding dressing service.

3. Where are you located?

104 East Main St. | Clinton, CT 06413

4. How far in advance do you recommend clients to book?

We recommend booking an appointment 2 weeks in advance.

5. What is one piece of advice you always give to brides?

Select a gown that is reflective of your own personal style.  Also, when shopping for your gown try to limit your guests to 1-2 people who understand your personal style and the aesthetic of your wedding.  Too many opinions can be detrimental to the decision making process and can ruin your experience.
