Vendor Spotlight is on Capers Catering; a fine boutique catering company that offers a wide variety of dishes locally sourced from organic farms.
1. How did your business come to be?
I started Capers Catering 25 years ago because I loved preparing food to share with people, and enjoyed being a part of couple’s special memories. Now we are a larger New England catering company, and I no longer cook, as our chefs are so talented, but am delighted to still participate in the event process.
2. What are the services you offer?
Capers Catering offers boutique custom catering from locally sourced organic farms when possible, full staffing and bar tending services, event planning, rental and tent management, and alcohol service. We are more than happy to take on more if requested.
3. Where are you located and how far will you travel to provide your service?
We are located in Stoneham, MA, 9 miles north of Boston. We service all of New England, and enjoy catering weddings in Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Vermont, and the Cape.
4. How far in advance do you recommend clients to book?
Client usually book at least one year in advance, but we have catered wedding at a three week notice, so anything is possible.
5. What is one piece of advice you always give to brides?
We advocate that each couple pick 3 things they are most passionate about and focus the budget in those areas.
