Nestled away at a barn in Portland Maine, Vanessa and Lauren had the perfect antique backdrop to tie the knot on an airy summer day.
An intimate affair with a laid back vibe was the main objective for their wedding. Vanessa and Lauren wanted their guests to fall in love with Portland, Maine just as they had. Initial inspiration for the day stemmed from a framed cover of the New Yorker they have in their house. Specializing in stationery design, Vanessa designed all the paper products on her own, letting her guests know right from the beginning what they could expect for the day. Antique elements such as wooden farm tables with metal chairs from New England Country Rentals, weathered frames, and wooden barrels were juxtaposed with soft, textural flowers in pastel hues. For a touch of whimsy, each bride donned a floral crown along with their metal chairs at the head table. Candice Coppola of Jubilee Events did a wonderful job sourcing all the talent for the day. Everything came together flawlessly, creating an ethereal summer getaway for all in attendance.
