Bliss Celebrations Guide

fourth of july inspiration

After a long New England winter we can officially say that summer is in full swing. With graduation and wedding season keeping us all busy, it’s easy to forget about our favorite summer holiday rapidly approaching. Yes, Fourth of July is right around the corner, and we wanted to share some fun party ideas. However you celebrate Independence day this year, whether it be a casual backyard BBQ or a more formal celebration, from the favors to the cocktails, we’ve got you covered.

Ideas from top to bottom: This American flag berry tart would not only make a delicious dessert to serve your Fourth of July crowd, but a beautiful and festive centerpiece to add to your serving table. Your guests would be sure to leave the celebration both satisfied and impressed!

Want to make cocktails that are appropriate for the occasion but still keep it simple? Here’s an easy solution: add blueberries, strawberries, or raspberries to your ice cube tray and serve with champagne or mixed drinks. If you are feeling extra patriotic, try a star shaped ice cube mold like this one.

This tunic from Johnny Was Clothing is fit for the occasion and could be worn to a casual daytime gathering or be dressed up for a more glamorous party. Bonus- It’s on sale and you can get it here!

If you hate to see your guests leave empty-handed try these fun flag favors. They are super easy to make, too!

If you are attending a more formal Fourth of July celebration and want to look festive yet chic try these blue glitter Kate Spade pumps, they make just the statement.

Also for a formal gathering, we love this elegant and nautical stationary from Coral Pheasant photographed by one of our featured photographers, Carla Ten Eyck and featured by one of our vendors, A Jubilee Event!

If you are bored with the idea of adding berries to your Fourth of July dessert, try making this wonderful flag cake. It is understated on the outside, gorgeous on the inside, and yummy on any side!

We’d love to hear your plans for Idependence Day weekend, so feel free to comment below! And of course, Happy Birthday America!
