A Sweet DIY Wedding from Kate’s Lens Photography

When Kate's Lens sent us this adorable DIY wedding with cute little personal touches, we just had to share it.

From Kate's Lens: Julie is a graphic designer & artist: http://www.julierado.com so naturally she designed/made a lot of the details that made her wedding so special!

Some of Julie's DIY Projects: "Ribbon curtain: I made the curtain out of ribbons with my trusty glue gun. My mom sewed the fabric curtain, & we used PVC piping as a curtain rod.

"Clearly, This is Awesome" sign: I made this out of foam core & yarn.

Wine bottle vases: I asked my family to save their empty wine bottles so I could spray paint them and glue table numbers/generic wedding labels on them. They worked double duty as vases & table numbers.

Favors: I got this idea from Ruffled Blog. I used icing decorating bags to hold the hot chocolate and marshmallows, tied them with twine, and printed/punched/tied labels to each.

I think my DIY projects really made our wedding "us" and gave a lot of warmth and personality to a seriously low-budget wedding. We're also really lucky to have such an awesome and supportive family who was willing to help with many projects and take the entire day before the wedding to help us set up the barn!"
