Well it's Flag Day.  Not really a celebrated holiday much these days, but it's on our calendars none-the-less, so we thought we'd share some fun flag inspiration with you today!  There are tons of great ways to incorporate flags into your event or wedding, and we love how whimsical and sweet they look in photos!  Take a peek at what we found.

Flag bunting can really dress up a simple space.  Great for an at home baby or bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, or simple and sweet wedding.  We love how in this image the runners were made from the same fabrics as the bunting, bringing together a seamless and festive look.

Ribbon drink stirrer flags are an easy DIY project and can really tie in your color palette!  We love how the aqua and emerald work together in this image.

Flags with fun exclamations like YAY and HOORAY are totally adorable for guests to wave as you walk down the aisle.  Also simple to make (take it from me, I made them for my wedding!)

Papel picado flags add a touch of Mexican ambiance to any soiree.  We love how these simple white flags tie in the color palette from the patterned table linens and flowers, but don't compete.

Sweet canvas flag sculptures painted in an ombre palette are another cute element to add.  Details on the DIY via Oh Happy Day!

Got a long and winding way to your wedding reception? Why not line it with easy to make fabric flags? We love how the color of the get-away truck matches the flags to a T!

We are no strangers to sailing flags here in New England.  For a nautical party or event, create escort cards with these vibrant symbols.

A pretty banner flag lets guests know they have arrived at your wedding locale, great for outdoor events in large spaces!

Create a simple cake topper with multi level/multi patterned flags for your cake.  Extra sweet!

Hope you enjoyed our tribute to Flag Day!
