Recently featured in the spring issue of Edible Rhody – weddings at Sweetberry farm are a true celebration of love. Love of nature and the farm’s abundant bounty and love of community and its passions and practices that bring people together.
Like an ideal marriage, the farm supports and sustains. Fresh fruits from the orchards, flowers from the garden and vegetables from the fields provide resident
event planner Francesca Campo and Owners Jan and Michelle Eckhart , seasonal inspiration to create weddings and events that are unique, warm and personal.
When Sweetberry Farm began offering on- site weddings last season, Nicole and Keith knew upon first visit that it was the ideal location for their wedding, reflecting their shared love of nature and their commitment to self-reliance and community. Russell Morin Fine Catering helped the couple create an authentically Rhode Island menu featuring local favorites from sustainable foods. Wine from a local vineyard was served along with a pie buffet featuring selections from Corey’s Kitchen at Sweetberry Farm. Farm grown flowers expertly arranged by Linda Pierce and Michelle Eckhart of Sweetberry coupled with Campo’s eye for details (including the addition of the farms tractors to flank the ceremony) perfectly captured the charm of the farm.
